3.1 CONNECTIONS
Position the television where you intend to install it. Ensure that
there is adequate ventilation all around the appliance (see section
2.1.3 POSITIONING THE TELEVISION). Make sure that the screen is
out of direct strong light (from the sun or artificial lighting). Install the
television by connecting it to the mains power supply and to all
associated audio-video appliances as instructed below.
3.1.1 Connecting the television to the mains
power supply
Connect the plug of the mains cable ((a-4) Fig. 1) to the power soc-
ket ([Q] Fig. 2) on the rear of the television and connect the plug at
the other end of the cable ((b-4) Fig. 1) to a wall socket providing a
230V, 50/60 Hz electrical power supply.
3.1.2 Connecting the television to other audio-
video appliances
You can connect a wide range of external audio-video appliances to
your television using the connectors on the back of the television
2.5 UNPACKING THE TELEVISION
When you open the box you should find the following items inside
(Fig. 1):
1. Television
2. Remote control
3. Two batteries for the remote control
4. Mains power cable
5. Installation and operation manual
6. Certificate of warranty (valid only for Italy)
Check immediately that all the above items are present and free
from damage. If any of these items is missing or damaged, contact
your dealer immediately.

nectors are for INPUT only
. These allow signals from other applian-
ces to enter the television. Other connectors are for OUTPUT only.
These deliver signals from the television to other appliances. Some
connectors act as INPUT and OUTPUT connectors for signals to
and from the television.
You must perform two operations to connect external audio-video
appliances to your television: 1) Physically connect the appliance
using the relevant connection cable. 2) Select the signal source
using the OSD menus and sub-menus. Before connecting any other
appliances to the television, read their manuals to check for speci-
fic connection instructions.
Use only top quality audio and video connection cables to ensure
top performance from the television. In particular:
• Route cables where they cannot trip people up.
• When inserting connectors, take care to avoid damaging delicate
pins.
• Do not twist or flatten cables.
• Do not pull on cables to disconnect them from any appliance.
